Western Beauty Institute’s faculty, executive administration and staff celebrated their annual Christmas Party on Saturday, December 20th at the beautiful Odyssey Restaurant (http://www.theodysseyrestaurant.com) in Granada Hills, California. All three facilities, the Antelope Valley Campus, the San Fernando Valley Campus and the Skin Care Center and Spa, combined to celebrate the most wonderful 2008 year and Christmas. 

Over one hundred instructors, executives, staff members and their guests enjoyed fabulous hors d’oeurves, formal dinner and dessert, featuring crab cakes, beef, chicken and seafood, among other selections.

Open bar was frequented by many and the Christmas spirit was present that night. CEO, Christina Diaz brought gifts for a drawing, with participants receiving all levels of gifts, from sausage to laptops. In a moving speech, Ms. Diaz thanked everyone for their hard work throughout the year and for forgiveness for not expressing that sentiment more often. Ms. Diaz also recognized long time instructor, Ms. Becky Breda for the unique trait of never missing a single day of work. After a hilarious search for Ms. Breda, she was found and she then received her award. Ms. Breda gave an expected “barn-burner” speech in which all other instructors nodded their heads in agreement. 

Christmas bonuses were gratefully accepted and the dancing continued with the help of our DJ. As everyone hugged and kissed to say our goodbye’s, we were reminded of the significance of the season and the joy of sharing another successful year at the finest cosmetology school in California. 

The festive evening was concluded with dancing. We thank all of those who worked so hard to coordinate decorations, entertainment and food, to ensure that everyone had a fantastic evening. It was a great job done fabulously!
