Western Beauty Institute has had winner after winner recently and the question of where do all these winners come from has been raised. The answer is simple of course. Our winners are the students that come to school everyday on their quest to obtain the knowledge and hours to qualify for the license from the State Board. The winners of the fabulous Super Sunday extravaganza held again this year at Pechanga Casino and Resort near Temecula, California came from a contest held at the school for participants.
Each and every one of our students is already a winner, but at the local competition, we were forced to select winners to represent the school at the Super Sunday competition. Judges for the event at the school included Instructors Ms. Hilary Hawk and Ms. Eleanor Garcia, and Deborah Shirley, from Full Body Salon & Spa. First Place winners for the Antelope Valley competition were Rebecca Garcia as stylist and Katie Scavo as model “I Love Lucy”. Rebecca Garcia and Katie Scavo ultimately went on to win second place in the Hooray for Hollywood competition at Super Sunday in Pechanga Casino. Second place winners at the school competition were Michelle Johnson, stylist, and Melania Cardenas, model “Ugly Betty”. Third place winners were Evelyn Patty Herrera, stylist, and Rocio Gonzalez, model “Pinup Girl”. Our junior winner was Annette Moreno. San Fernando Valley winners were Claudia Vindell, stylist, and Daniela Trana, model, first place, Ana Tobo, stylist and Azaziah Hubert, model, second place, and stylist Donia Menjivar and model Brenda Reyes, third place. The junior winners for San Fernando Valley Campus were Erika Oviedo, first place, and Dora Figueroa, second place. The judge for San Fernando Valley was Vanessa Wyatt of the Supercuts West Hollywood location.
Western Beauty Institute has proudly participated in this event since it’s inception and has always sent the schools best to participate and win. This year’s winners come from the Lancaster campus of Western Beauty Institute and we most proudly announce that they will be held in high esteem following their well-deserved victory. |
