Recently, Western Beauty Institute installed into the Esthetics facility of the Antelope Valley Campus the area’s only Vichy shower. The Vichy shower is generally found in the finest hotel or resort spas and is an experience worth having. Anitra Brown, a licensed esthetician and journalist specializing in luxury resorts writes at About.com,

“Some of my very best spa experiences have been beneath a Vichy shower. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it. A Vichy shower has five to seven shower heads which pour water onto you while you're lying on a cushioned wet table. It is usually part of a body treatment, like a salt scrub or body wrap. Instead of jumping up and getting in a shower to rinse off the salt or mud, you simply lie there. The cascade of water feels delicious!”

Wikipedia states,

“Imagine lying under a warm waterfall. ... The Vichy Shower treatment provides pressure point massage jets over your entire body to assist in the relaxation and stimulation of the mind and body. ... The Vichy shower is a 7-headed ‘rain bar.’ The rain bar heads can be adjusted to provide either light rain massage, or a higher pressure to target specific tension areas. Treatments can be taken alone, or used in conjunction with massage, for a deeply relaxing and therapeutic encounter.”

The room housing WBI’s Vichy shower is an interior encased in handcrafted travertine tile filled with soothing sounds and music and aroma therapy. This level of sophistication can only be found at Western Beauty Institute. The Esthetics facility (Skin Care Center) is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 1pm and from 6pm to 8pm, and on Saturdays from 9am to 4pm. Please call (661) 718-1710 for more information on the services of the facility.
