WBI.edu Goes Mobile

WBI’s new mobile website,
m.wbi.edu

Cosmetology is on the move! Western Beauty Institute students have known that for a while, but now there’s a Beauty School in your phone! Western Beauty Institute now has it’s own mobile website, accessible from cell phones and other mobile devices at m.wbi.edu.

The mobile site was designed to be easy to use and compatible with many different devices, and programmed to give quick, basic information about the school and its campuses in Panorama City and Lancaster.

To provide our customers and prospective students with tools to quickly access information about WBI, the site contains several particularly useful features. Users can click on special links to instantly call either of our campuses without even having to dial the phone. Another feature gives users the option to save WBI’s phone numbers directly into their phonebook or contact list. Also, users who wish to refer their friends to WBI can send email referrals with just a few simple clicks. Finally, users can get turn-by-turn directions to either one of our convenient campuses.

“I'd recently seen some easy-to-use mobile sites, and thought ‘We should do that!,’” says WBI Web Designer/Developer Jim Tompkins. “Our beauty services customers could find us quickly and easily for that next haircut or manicure. And prospective students could get a quick introduction to the school. More and more people are using mobile devices to get key information, and we wanted to provide those customers with yet another opportunity to learn about WBI and all that we have to offer.”

The site is also accessible at mobile.wbi.edu and/or mobi.wbi.edu. And for complete details about the school, there’s always our regular website at www.wbi.edu, and our student portal site at my.wbi.edu.
