Students from Western Beauty Institute’s Antelope Valley campus once again showed their creativity by creating Valentine cards for a contest held on February 14th at the Lancaster school. Winners were chosen from a number of impressive entries employing styled strands of hair and jewelry accents.
Samuel Arias won first place (above center), Norma Torres placed second (above left) and Lauren Ritchie made the third place showing (above right). For his award-winning efforts, Mr. Arias received a make-up box, brushes and professional turbo dryer, Ms. Torres was awarded a new wax machine, while Ms. Ritchie took home a cooler and WBI T-shirt. The contest was organized by WBI Event Coordinator Ms. Beatriz Alvarez.
