My “It” Things, an online magazine based in New York is having a contest this month, giving away $1,000 to the writer of the best beauty article.

Among the judges are Lina Hanson, celebrity makeup artist and beauty blogger, Diane Da Costa, celebrity stylist and author, and Lisa Hoffman, founder of Lisa Hoffman Skincare.

Contestants can join myitthings.com for free, create a profile and start contributing to the site, which features content produced entirely by users. The site displays beauty articles, trends, portfolios and news. Contest entries must be submitted by January 31st.
