A number of Western Beauty Institute students will be taking part in the annual “Spa Day” hosted by Lancaster’s Living Way Foursquare Church on Saturday, August 4th from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The church is located at 43260 Challenger Way.

Western Beauty Institute’s Event Coordinator Betty Alvarez will be coordinating with Mary Lou Colunga, the Women’s Ministry Leader for the church to provide a number of students who will be performing manicures, pedicures, facials and massages. WBI students earn credit for hours performed in this type of community service. Western Beauty Institute has a strong history of community interaction and service, not only in the Antelope Valley, but in the San Fernando Valley at its Panorama City campus as well.

The event is part of the church’s community outreach to women. In the past, the ladies of the church have provided the services for “Spa Day.” This year, Colunga asked WBI to participate. “I look forward to working with your students,” she said.
