Recently, California Stylist Magazine sponsored a cover contest from their thousands of subscribers. Randy Fugate, Director of Marketing, was intrigued with that possibility and decided to enter a photograph of Allyson Schott, one of his most iconic images representing Western Beauty Institute and the creativity of the student population. The photograph won Honorable Mention in the magazines’ contest. “Of course I thought we should have won First Place but I am quite happy and proud our students and my photography have been recognized by this beauty industry standard publication,” said Mr. Fugate after learning of the magazine award.

The image was created with the help of WBI Graduate Adriana Bernal, Make-up; WBI Graduate Lilibeth Linares, Hair; WBI Graduate Christina Martinez, Nails; and WBI Senior Allyson Schott, Model.
