Makeup Course

WBI’s four week makeup course is designed to provide the following training, whether you choose the television, film, photography, retail cosmetic or bridal industry. This course is designed for students to master at makeup skills in all aspects of beauty. The instructors at WBI have many years of experience in various makeup fields they are constantly working in the industry from photo shoots, bridal, runway, film, and retail cosmetics. We teach techniques that are consistent and up to date with the latest trends. This will fulfill each individual's needs. Throughout the course the student will gain confidence with lecture and hands on practice. The students will also learn the business aspects of the makeup industry from learning to build their professional makeup portfolio to how to market themselves. Upon completion of course students will receive a makeup artistry certificate.

Week 1

• Introduction to the course and the elements of the makeup industry.
• Get familiarized with the makeup kit, brushes and learn their functions.
• Learn to distinguish different skin types, and tones and foundation application.
• Discover the corrective aspects of makeup.

Week 2

• The lesson will provide makeup techniques for runway, high definition, Photography, editorial and natural.
• Emphasis on eyebrows, master the proper technique for a natural and balanced brow.
• Understand the features of the eye and practice eye shadow, eye liner, and false eye lash application. Lip and cheek placement
• Learn the Classic, Hollywood and Smokey eye technique

Week 3

• Bridal and Special occasion makeup. Gain knowledge of the business aspect of the bridal industry.
• Understand the dynamic makeup trends
• Determine the appropriate products and techniques for mature skin.
• Learn makeup application for men.

Week 4

• Airbrush application
• Marketing yourself, build a professional makeup portfolio and resume building.
• Makeup Combinations
• Photo shoot day will be provided for real industry experience
• Recap on entire class.
• Finally, in this session the student will step outside the box and create their own creative makeup look.
